Default DD selection....

Here is the deal.

Ive been following this forum for the past couple years and it might be finally time to get the s2000. Today I found out insurance for the s2 is actually cheaper than from my Audi. I will begin my search for the s2 soon and I actually was curious about how much attention a supercharger or turbo might require.

HOWEVER, my real question is about the Audi replacement. I would love to spend <$3,000 but I can live with anything under 4.5k. I am not picky bc the s2000 would be the fun car. I need something I can handle in the snow and it def. needs 4 doors. Please any suggestions are appreciated.

Thank You

For $3000 or less, get a Mazda Protege.

Get an old used car. i don't think you'd like either the Audi or s2000 in the snow.

Get an old used Nissan Frontier or Toyota Tacoma in 4x4 form. Great in the winter for both traction and heat as the cabs warm up quick. Plus, once you have a pickup you will be amazed at how darn handy they come in.

I've got a 98 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 for my DD. Cheap, reliable, and practical.
