Definition of "MID-ENGINE"
Those definitions are wrong.
The technical definition of a mid-engined car is that the engine must be FULLY CONTAINED within the wheelbase of the car.
Others that fit the bill include the RX8, the upcoming Ferrari 612, and the Masserati Quattroporte. All clearly have the engine in front of the driver, but are in fact MID ENGINED.
The 350Z comes close but is not full contained behind the front axle.
This is a stupid discussion already.

This belongs in a lexicology thread, not in an S2000 thread.
We know where the engine is and where the driver is. Now we are just asking what word best describes the car.
Front mid-engine best describes a car where the engine sits between the axles and in front of the cabin.
