Default Driving characteristics

I'm still in the learning mode after recently buying my03 and after changing rims/tires went from 16" to 17" OEM's I noticed my shifter
seems to be vibrating more than it did with the 16's on it....I must admit that when the 16"s were on it I did not pay attention to the gear shift as much perhaps because it might not have been as noticeable??
Thanks for any input

Ps...I'm totally enjoying my new ride in sunny Fl.....

Tell us when you feel the vibes most. Is it, say, 3rd gear while decelerating (e.g. that was a known issue, at least in earlier years)?

It's pretty much in each gear and it's not severe but does it whether your going at a steady speed or decelerating, maybe it's been so long since I've driven a stick shift on the floor so to speak maybe just me.....does yours vibe at all or stays rigid in each gear?

Thanks to both of you for getting back with me....

It vibrates quite a bit whether in gear or neutral, less so when in gear and accelerating. If it engages all the gears properly and you don't feel anything else, you're good, changing the tires and rims I can't see how that will make your shifter vibrate if it didn't before. My .02.

do you have lower profile tires with the 17's? Maybe the thinner tires are causing a rougher ride overall with the car and you think that shifter is being affected.

Thanks THEDON for that info...and MBH I found a great deal on 4 Vs2's last week and put them on, I had some great looking stock OEM's 16" before with fairly new Direzza's star specs stock size, the 17's were off 2007 car and has stock REO50's that have about 11,000 miles on them.
The star specs have only about 4000 miles, I for sure will get rid of the BS reo's as soon as I sell my 16" rims/tires and will probably put Direzza on the 17". I have been reading about different forum conversations about tires and I think the star spec are good for my Florida roads.....dry/wet.....whoever buys my old rims/tires will be getting a nice set for about half the cost of new rims/tires..
Bottom line it could be just the tires, I know the rims are good and straight , but the tires have maybe hardened up a bit...
thanks again to all......I'm staying tuned to these forums.....if ya know anyone in Fla who wants some nice OEM's 16" let em know, I have mine listed on craigslist....Gainesville Florida.....
