I don't want personal arguments. I don't mind discussing or even debating cars. That sort of thing really brings down a community and contributes to the 'rice' and immature image that this board is now portraying.
Where does posting stupid shit fall into your theory about bringing down a community?

the 190 hp elise seems to do pretty well against an F40.
You didn't say 'this' 190HP elise, you said the therefore implying a 190 HP elise could keep up with an F40. Now you are saying you didn't....

You know what's coming next....

Get ready for it.....

What? That's not what I said or implied at all.

Alright. You win. The only good cars in this world are the Z06 and the S2000 you own.
That's weird...since i own neither a Z06 or S2000...

I'd do the same thing. A forcedfed turbo can bring an elise to 275 horsepower. (there's 300+ versions as well) But you can really say that about any car. Porsches are overpriced for what they are as well, but people still buy em.
It could be said about any car, but this is a different case. The Elise is so similar to the 240R (sans the boost) that saving $40k+ just makes sense. We're not talking "I could build a Mustang to be faster and cheaper than an S2k" because we're talking almost the same car.

Porsches have great DD attributes and IMO are close enough to being worth their price(low volume requires high markups). A decently optioned 295hp 2800lb Cayman S is still ~$20k less than this Exige.

Ok, so that lotus is slow(not really, but ok). I think you need to upgrade it a little. Maybe FORCEDFED 380R package will help. 380 turbo ponies and 280 lb-ft of torque. How much does the Elise weight again?

And you do NOT want to know how much it costs.

so for roughly the same price, 80k or so you can get the force-fed turbo one for the same price as this super charged on. I think I know which I would choose.
