Red face Ford's UK cars

So, here's a sample of what Ford sells in UK. Ford incidentally is profitable in UK and Europe, but not in North America. Does anyone else think it may be the product Ford sells?

Ka - Ford UK's tiny car:

Focus - Ford UK's compact money maker:

C-Max - a mini-minivan:

S-Max - a Mazda CX-9-like minivan (Ford sells no minivans in the USA anymore):

Mondeo - Ford's mid-size sedan:

In North America, we have the Focus, Fusion, Taurus, and Taurus X. Of those, only the Fusion and Taurus X are decent imo. Although I've read the new Taurus finally has a decent powertrain, the first gen (500) I drove was a complete dog.

I had a 2004 Taurus for a rental while my car was in the shop after I was hit.
It sucked...bigtime.

The Mondeo would be a much more tolerable car.

I think people in the UK would cross-shop Ford Mondeos with entry level Merc C-Class and BMW 3 series.

ford is, probably more than any other brand, completely irrelevant to me. It's probably the only brand (even including some korean brands) that I literally never even thought about before buying my last 5 cars. And I've bought a truck, two SUVs, and several coupes - it isn't just that I always buy sports cars.

The EU cars definitely look more attractive, and if they were offered here, it would probably change my beahavior...but they aren't.
