Hire Carlos Ghosn as CEO and give him most of the power to do whatever he wants.

GM's been putting finance guys in charge for decades. Obviously, they suck at cars AND finance. Bob Lutz was the best thing that happened to GM in two generations. That's sad.

Note that it was a finance guy who was willing to pay top dollar to bring Lutz on board.

They should throw the union retirees to the PBGC and take every single penny in the union trusts. Dissolve the UAW and make people actually f'ing earn jobs for once. Once, GM has their labor and retiree costs under control, a few more tweaks will put them back in the black.
