Default How far would you travel?

I have been looking for a clean 02-05 civic si for a few months now. Why in particular, idk, but I was smitten by one on a test drive. Clearly I didn't buy it but that was b/c the window was off track and the previous owner had dogs leaving the interior looking.... less than desirable. It appears that anything decent is at least a 4hr round trip drive. So my question is how far would you drive/travel for a car that you want? I'm speaking of an everyday car, not anything exotic nor rare ie nsx/lambo/1967 shelby mustang gt500.

I flew 700 miles to pick up my S2000 and then drove it back. A 4hr round trip drive is nothing..

I'm looking at cars up to 1200 miles away (ie, two day easy drive back). I'd gladly do 2000+ miles if I had other business in the area (ie, I would consider going all the way back to Texas if I could take care of some other issues/errands/problems at the same time). However, I'm looking at nicer cars rather than a basic daily driver (even though it may end up being a daily driver) so the "right car" is worth it to me.

So I'm just being lazy lol. Will a dealership let you get a ppi done at a 3rd party location?

I dunno, it'll have to be a screaming deal because alot of cost and time goes into those road trips, or the car has to be a really exceptional example. For me right now, as long as the trip back doesn't require me to get a motel, so 600 miles or so?

Everyday car (Accord, Camry, Civic) 200 miles for a perfect example, and great deal.

Audi S4 Avant 6spd...little more rare, I'd go anywhere.

Probably within 4-5 hours if it's a normal car. I flew from Dallas to San Antonio to buy my RX-8 new since I got a smoking deal (10K off sticker) from a dealer there. One way Southwest airlines ticket and drove it back in 1 day.
