I don't believe you can get an M5 for $85,000. With just taxes included, they are over that mark, according to BMW USA.

I'd probably go for a viper.

A used M6 will probably be cheaper than the M5 as sales of them haven't done so well. I think they're sexy and i'd 100% get the SMG over the 6 speed because tcs is over rated .

I'd say get a new m3 when it comes out with warranty. 335's are cool and everything but the fact that even a few of them have had serious overheating issues bothers me. I'd rather replace a transmission than an engine lol.

85k is an odd price as the 100k club is just out of reach and the 50k club is kind of lackluster sometimes by comparisson.

Honestly i'd suggest you get something comfortable and nice for like 20k and find a kickass investment broker or something. 85k is a nice chunk of change but it might be worth sitting on for a bit to get something sweet.

Was raining today. Was driving pretty much WOT. Traction control didn't even blink at me. I would have been sliding around in the S2000.

I'd like to see an M5 in the rain....

Quattro + rain/snow FTW!

Cayman S - mine was well-equipped (but nowhere near fully-loaded, that would be in six figure territory) and came about $30K short of the limit, but there's no other sub-$100K car I'd rather own, including a 911.

Others may be faster, others more luxurious, but it's hard to beat the Cayman's balance and handling at just about any price!
