I'm confused as to why some of you would pick an RS4 over an M5.
2) Less weight
3) Less expensive
4) Less taxes
5) More entertaining
6) Did I mention AWD
Both will do fine for me, but in the rain/snow... I'd take the RS anyday.

Was raining today. Was driving pretty much WOT. Traction control didn't even blink at me. I would have been sliding around in the S2000.
I'd like to see an M5 in the rain....
Quattro + rain/snow FTW!
snow is a different story

What would you buy? The most obvious choice to me is an M5... but there's just something about spending that kind of money and looking roughly the same as every other bimmer on the road (and there are a ton of them!).
Oh and in case you're wondering why it has to be new...my wife has an unnatual fear of buying used...

#5 is speculative lol.
All the M5 tests seem so clinical to me.
Put it in P500 mode, SMG ready, launch control and it does the job... very quickly.
I've seen more fun RS4 tests.
But they're both great cars

To the OP, you'll have to buy the m5 new to get a warranty though if you want one (just for shits and giggles, call up a dealership and ask them what an SMG-III box cost. From what I understand there will be no more certified pre-owned ///M cars.
