right now I have $763 going toward car payments...I'm paying 330 a month for the S. I'm going to be selling the S, so I would be able to afford around $450 payments.

EDIT: Me and my wife bring home around 30-40 a year, though the only bills we have are phone, insurance, car and about a $50 credit card bill...
If I was Suze Orman and you were calling in to ask if you could afford it, I'm 100% positive she'd say "DENIED!"

First, you should pay off the credit card bill. Then get a car that will consume less of your income.

I'd suggest a current gen used Civic Si, as much as you want to get something better.

The STI/Evo use lots more gas and other consumables, ins. is higher, and your pmt. will be as well.

Mediocre sedan + cheap toy instead of a one size fits most car?

dude...Have you ever seen the trunk? Yeah, it's not the biggest, but it's big enough for a stroller and diaper bag...my buddy has a ralliart(same size as the evo x) and he has a 1 year old...I don't think I'd have any problem...Thanks...

Here's a picture I took a few months back during a test drive...

Out of curiosity...what do you owe on the S2000? What do you think you'll get for it/sell it for?

And...how did a Corolla S get to be over $430 a month in payment?

Please tell me that's EACH and not together.

Otherwise stop looking at WRXs and Evos and get yourself another Corolla. Hopefully one without a $400 car payment, though.

people that are asking these questions here should be on a car forum that doesn't have such high price tastes

i think he meant each. I say payoff the corolla and the S , sell the S and get a civic si sedan. save your money to buy a house.

According to your statement on your family income, it would be safer for you to stay around $20000 range. It will still be tight with bills / rent / regular expenses.

Good for you you don't have to pay rent or mortgage payment.

$50/mo credit card bill? Is that the minimum payment you have to make?
