Honda did make at least one other car with an all aluminum unibody. The Honda Insight. In fact it was built on the same production line as the NSX (since it was the only one capable of producing an all aluminum car)

This could be argued as a plus or minus depending on which side of the fence you stand on since it was the vehicle that started the Hybrid movement in America.

Toyota has never won an f1 race and Honda has....... Just sayin
Yes they have, but they did that with an established team (British American Racing) that they bought.

Toyota built the facilities and team from the ground up.

But either way, these Formula 1 teams are so far removed from their respective car manufacturers, it's ridiculous. F1 tech is not really relevant to road cars, and the teams only care about winning.

This is correct to my knowledge, although I'm not an expert on what Toyota sells over seas because it makes no difference to me (or any other U.S. consumer).
I never said they shared the same platform i said they ''Are" toyotas that were just rebagded in the us as lexus. What are you not getting?

how many lexus are sold in europe? so what do they buy when they want a japan lux car? maybe one of those toyotas sold as lexus in the us.

what is a honda inpsire? and over priced honda sold as acura? is there any thing different at ALL from the inspire vs the rl? NOTHING BUT THE FRONT EMBLEM. its the same with lexus.

Toyota or BAR has not been credited with a single race victory in Formula 1. If so I would like to see your source stating otherwise, from all the records I have seen they have not won.

Is F1 the benchmark of racing or something? I mean don't get me wrong I like it and wish I had better access to follow it. But...I think we can agree Toyota has some credible racing background and even if they didn't they would be no less capable to build sports cars.

I would not call it a benchmark of racing but it is highly synonomous with roadgoing production sports vehicles from the manufacturers involved whether it be marketing or tech. I also did not bring up f1 I just responded to a statement I found to be wrong imo.

I am not bashing toyota at all. Bunchies made a claim that honda's accomplishments in f1 do not exceed toyotas in f1 and somehow toyota building a f1 facility is something worthy of claim over honda. I am merely arguing his statements. The records show Toyota and/or BAR with 0 race victories. The records show Honda with 3 race victories as a sole f1 team. As an engine supplier they have collected 6 WCC and 5 WDC.

Not once have I stated that Toyota does not have a credible racing background as I believe they are very credible. I believe they can build whatever they want. Might take them 10 yrs but they still built something even though its ugly as shyt. At this time in the public eye they are doing far more than honda, I can respect that.

And yes, F1 is the eptiome of automotive engineering. Nothing else comes close. To bring up NASCAR in the same sentence is just absurd.

Toyota does not even hold a candle to Honda's accomplishments in F1. The fact Toyota spent more money than any other team in F1 for years and yet did not achieve a single victory says alot. Their foray into F1 was one of the worst in the history of F1.
