Agreed. The S4 is cheaper than the ISF and M3, but it is also down on performance numbers. Audi's "S" line doesn't match up with the other manufacturers performance labels. You need the "RS" version from Audi to enter the conversation. That's not a knock on Audi, mind you... it is just fact.

Quattro v. rear wheel
We also know that the CLA is 7 inches longer than the S3. Which means it will likely be heavier.
Seems to be a pretty good comparison to me....

well with the new S3 coming in around 39k, that could be problematic for the CLA AMG

Why? This has considerably more power and will outperform it across the board.

???
The CLA AMG is AWD. The base CLA is FWD or AWD. RWD is impossible with the engine location in this vehicle.

Sorry, i missed that..
But the size difference/weight difference will negate much of the horsepower advantage.

I'm not a huge fan of euro cars, but this car is beautiful. If the options shown in the pictures could be had for 50k, this car would be a complete winner in my book. However, as stated above, optioned out this car will probably cost a decent amount more than the $48k price tag.
Either way, I love the direction they took with this car. The upscale characteristics you would expect from Mercedes, but with a mild "tuner car" twist to it. I think it is awesome that they chose a 2.0t that is pushing out 355 hp. However, I have my doubts about the longevity of the motor with 26 psi being thrown at it. I personally think a lot of luxury cars are becoming boring and bland, but this car stands out in a very good way. Thumbs up to Mercedes

Am I the only one wondering how 26+ psi on a 2.0 liter only generates 355 bhp? Try 10 psi on an f20.... Anyways, beauty car minus the crappy nav integration. Seems like an early 2000s euro option by the looks of it
