Motor Trend, October issue. NEW CAR GUIDE.
Most of the new car guide I understood, but if you look at the BMW 3 series/M3, the last sentence is:
The M3 remains unchanged, but expect the lightweight M3 CSL later in the year powered by a 360 horse version of the M3 engine
I guess they are bullcrapping, since I thought it was for sure not coming. Oh well.

Also, what is interesting, about the Honda S2000:
A 2.2 liter four cylinder engine replaces the former 2.0liter version. ALtrhough it produces the same 240 horses, its torque band is improved so that maximum power is achieved at 7700 rpm instead of 8300. Max torque is now 163 lb-ft at 6500 rpm.. The car gets bigger 17 inch wheels, revised suspension and geaering, and new front and rear fascias and bumpers. The interior also has been freshened with added space.
Even Honda hasn't released this kind of specific engine information to us, how would Motor Trend get it!!

I thought this information has been widely available for a while now. Someone even posted shots and translations of the MY04 S2000 from a Japanese mag a few weeks ago.

I agree with Mossad -- aside from the fact that we know this information's been released to the motoring press, the Motor Trend article merely confirms what was already assumed on these forums to be fact. That being the case, I don't understand the skepticism.

Car and Driver writes the following In the Oct 2003 Issue:
"Will Honda soften the temperament of the purest sports car sold in America? Official S2000 details won't be released until the Tokyo show this month, but our spies suggest yes: More displacement (2.2 liters vs. 2.0), a little more torque, a little more elbowroom, a modest face lift, lower revs, and a softened suspension."
Sounds pretty sucky.
