Default need urgent help

I have done an oil change on sat, then today when i drive back from work (100miles round trip) my oil cap pop off (broke off), and oil spilled everywhere ... in the front ... also white smoke come out ... ( i am assuming oil burn) do you guys know what is wrong, this is my daily driving civic , which has 230k miles... but it was all right before the oil change, is there something wrong?

I let the car cool down, and drive slowly home locally without the cap ... it seems alright ... but anyone knows what had happen? too muhc oil causing pressure build up??

Are you sure you threaded it properly back on? Oil burns blue, white is anti freeze. If you had that much pressure in your PCV system, you would blew all the seals in your engine first unless the cap was cross threaded or something.

I think i put at least 4 quarts, ... and it should be only 3.5 quarts ... i misread it ...
I can't remmember if I tighten it .... but i think i should have ...
but when i drive home with cap off, it seems ok ....
the smoke came out right after the cap pop...when i lift the hood .. and i turn off my car ... and after 10 min, i can hear the fluid vaporing noise, and saw some white smoke again ... but then after that no more .. i am asssuming the oil go back down and meet some heated spot and cause some smoke?

how do i know now if my seals are all broken? would it be totally non-drivable if that is so...
