It always cracks me up when someone triples the horsepower of their vehicle but leaves the brakes stock. Seriously? What were they thinking?

Soon as I realized this thing has a manual boost controller, I knew it wasnt going to end well.. hahaha. "Just turn the boost knob down and it will stop breaking up" .. *doesnt stop breaking up*.. haha

The only built car that was "sorted" was the 135i. That was likely the only car that spent any time on a track with a competent driver. The Viper and the Audi were cool street cars. The 911 is "sorted" because it's an expensive car that was minimally modified. I appreciate the idea of this series but I think it can't possibly live up to what "enthusiasts" think it is. What it's doing more than anything is showing how poorly most modified cars perform for what people think they were designed to do. The "cool" cars of instagram and car shows don't actually work very well for anything. They're no longer good street cars but they're even worse race cars. Funny part is that I think more people will conclude that the 135i is a way better car than they thought instead of realizing why the 135i performed well in the first place.

That 135i had nearly 160K miles on it, as well. If there's a car that "should" have broken, that's probably the one, in terms of age/wear and tear/BMW genetics...

Man.. I reread that and it sounded really cynical even if true. I'm still glad there was an S2000 represented there and the hosts seemed to like the car. I also like the idea of the show overall and applaud the execution. Though it doesn't make any sense to me, I appreciate the owner's attitude of wanting the car to be run hard. Hopefully it's developed further and sees some track time in the future. Also wishing the car a different set of brakes and some cooling in the near future.
