You can bet the new 350Z will be heavier, fatter, longer, wider, 10000% stiffer, safer, etc..than the current one.
Even if they use ''lightweight materials'' in certains aspects of the car the general curb weight will still be higher than 3400 pounds or so.
Kind of like the new M3 having a carbon fiber roof and lightweight V8 engine but still being heavier than the older, simpler E46 M3.

Oh, "ugly" is very subjective and of your opinion. Frankly, I find the new Camry to be the best-looking out of mainstream family sedans. The new Malibu is looking quite good too.
