Porsche is doing WRONG
wrs2k, we're on the same page.
Tommy has a nice new toy that he's understandably proud of.
It's really hard to describe what makes a Porsche special and worth the extra dough, there's no substitute for seat time to experience it yourself. Sometimes I think about selling mine when I don't drive it for a while, then I take a spirited drive through some local twisties and the lightbulb goes off again.
Lots of 370Z owners are going to be thinking they're getting 1/2 price Caymans, and I'll try not to burst their bubble.

AWD will help you accelerate smartly in rainy or snow/ice conditions, but it sure as hell isn't going to help you stop.
With the ice we had today, Tommy, I'm damn glad I waited until after lunch to head into the office to minimize the chance of running into a jackass who thinks AWD will allow them defy physics.

I read in a car magazine about a year ago that Porsche is marketed as a "rich" persons car. Im not a big fan of that. I haven't really encountered any marketing that said this, just read it once. But, to me it gives the owners a negative connotation. One saying they are trying to show off how much money they have. I understand many buy the car because they like how it drives etc...

As much as I loved my Porsche, I'd really like to pursue a Ferrari in the future.
agreed. ferrari is what i want to climb into next. i drove my buddies modified (intake/exhaust/suspension/wheels) modena 360... and it truly felt much more alive than any porsche 911 i've driven. it got me back into that s2000 race car type feel except the f-car has all the other stuff that porsche and the honda couldn't ever package up together in one hunk of plastic/metal bits.
gotta love that prancing horse. vroom fo real.
