d) back to c. for being $40k+ I think they should have a convertible hardtop, atleast then they can compete with the SLK and volvo convertible

If you can't tell I don't like the M roadster that much
Last, these are just my opinions, could the new 7 series look anymore like a space ship with caddy cues?

that's one thang i have to agree on,, they shoulda put a 6 speed on the M roadster.
but dont forget, the body style is up for a change pretty soon.. i would say 04 tops.

Due to space limitations, the 6-speed tranny will have to wait for the next-generation Z3 chassis.

Come on fellas, cut George some slack. The sort of dealer aggro George seems to have had with his S2000 is going to piss anyone off. I dunno how much of that crap I'd want to take. Thankfully I haven't had any problems at all but it's obviously not everyone's experience.

George, I hope your new BMW dealer treats you better. That sucks that someone hit your car. Tell us how the service experience goes.

one thing is for sure, it's going to be expensive to fix that thing.

I posted this in the S2000 forum but you can see the damage done if you check out the link.

There's no way the other driver didn't know that they'd hit your car. There's absolutely no excuse for not leaving their details. People like that shouldn't be on the road.

If it was upto me then they'd get a fine (payable to the damaged party) or a few days in prison in which to think over their behaviour. Hey... maybe both.

Hopefully its just the rear body panel thats damaged and there's no damage to the rear suspension. Let us know how the repairs go and what the BMW dealer is like.

I luv that M roadster!! 315 hp, lots of torque, 0-60 in 4.7secs. That is crazy fast. oh, and I don't want a 6 spd. too bad the suspension is sooo dated. I can't wait for the next gen.

too bad about the damage.

George-

Congrat's on your purchase. It's a beautiful car and I sincerely hope that it works out for you. While I was very sad to see you leave the cult for another make, I appreciate your frustrations.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on your new ride. I came very close to buying a 240bhp M roadster when I bought my 2001 S, but I just couldn't choke down the premium. I guess, I'm just a cheap guy

Best of luck to you getting your car fixed. That really sucks. It's a sad commentary on our society that some a-hole knowingly slams into your car and doesn't have the decency to even own up to it. It makes me do this

Again, good luck to you and check in here every so often to keep us updated.
