Default Question for e46 M3 owners

I am looking at purchasing a new M3 within the next month. I am pretty much set on the options I wouold like on the car (premium package, cold weather, xenon, premium sound, 6 spd).

I have driven the car and I really like it. What should I expect to pay for the vehicle? The invoice proce with the options I want is right around $49k, how close can I come to this price?

Thanks.

Some dealers are willing to negotiate. Mine MSRP'ed for $55,295 (Premium, SMG, Xenons, HK Sound) but I got it down to $52,500. I've read of other stories on the internet about $1K over invoice.

My car is a 6MT with Bi-Xenons, OEM 19's, Harmon Kardon, Premium Package and heated seats. Not sure what it stickered out at but I think I paid just under $51K. That was my 3rd BMW from Brahman in a years time though so they work with me a little more than usual.

thanks for the insight.

I have no problem paying a fair price for the vehicle, but at full MSRP the dealership is making about 12% on the vehicle, thats a bit ridiculous.

My first E46 M3 had SMG and I just didn't warm up to it. SMG is great under aggressive driving but I hated it under normal conditions. In addition to which I have yet to see any SMG cars run as fast as those with manual trannys.

i tend to prefer the manual as well. I drove a Z4 3.0 w/ the SMG and was not impressed. It was cool, but took away from the driving experience.

Also theres a new package for the 2005's... I don't recall the name at this very moment, but it includes 19" wheels, bigger brakes, suspension tweaks, and a few other tweaks and upgrades all for $3K.
