Laser and radar jammers are different animals. Radar Jammers are illegal in all 50 states because to work they have to send out radar waves. You must have an FCC licence to do this. My brother is a cop in CA and they will refer people caught with jammers to the FCC where the fines can be huge! Up to 25,000.00

Laser jammers on the other hand put out light pulses which are currently unregulated and thus legal in most states. I say most states because many states are amending their laws to make it illegal to have any device that jams or alters police speed measuring gear. CA has already done this. I did not believe my brother but he showed me the CA penal code and it is in there. It is however only an infraction which is much better then the huge fines the FCC could impose. I have played with a police laser and for the most part it returns in instant speed regardless of where it is pointed on the car. My brother says that light colored cars, white in particular can be harder to get a speed on but I did not notice the difference in a few minutes of playing around.

 

Band radar really isn't practical in large traffic situations.

It will want to grab the largest target, followed by the closest target, then the size of the target.

So on a freeway, you are mostly going to be concerned with Laser.

Laser works best when reflecting off a nice surface. The front license plate is where you will usually be targeted.

So no front plate (which may be illegal depending on the state), or one of those reflective light covers that reflects the beam in different directions may give you an edge.

 

I am going to experiment with the phantom II.

Once the project is complete it will look like it is is a computer that is suppose to make the car run.

Yes it I will be tampering with the casing or the box and most likely it will void the warranty. But 250.00 on a jammer is worth it.

I am going to create a black box and Plexiglass window, this will be weather proof and mounted in the front of the car right under the license plate, I have a coastal metals grill(black) and you can't see through it. Also with the engine bay director in place, when I pop the hood you will not be able to see through to the front of the bumper. Cops are lazy and will not get on their hands an knees and look through the grill if they do, I will tell them that is the smog pump computer. This will be hard wired in to come on when the car is on, I will also place a on off switch in the cockpit with me, and a small computer speaker for audible alerts. Clicking the jammer on and off in the lone wolf on the highway scenario will not bring suspicion.

I am tired of being pulled out of traffic and issued a ticket cause I am young and in a sports car. I have been in the middle of a wolf pack and singled out. This makes me sick and I am tired of it! this is where 90% of my tickets are issued. And larger vehicles being targeted I have wonder about this, but the cops always tell me they locked me, not the 18 wheeler, news van, turbo diesel dually, bus, dump trucks or anything much larger around me.
