Default Redline SI-1

I have a 98CivicEx which I bought back in Dec 00 and my friend sudjested I use SI-1 for each fill of the tank at the marks on the bottle for every 10gallons. I've been using this stuff since I got the car so it's been a good 4 years going on 5.

I've been reading that some people are using the whole bottle once a month or every other month. Any thoughts if I should do it at all this way with the whole bottle or should I stick with how I'm currently doing it by every mark of 10 gallons?

I'm sure that Redline thanks you very much for your continued patronage and for the healthy business they are doing because of many dedicated customers like you.
Fuel injected cars have been running for 10's of thousands of miles without using any fuel system cleaner and they have never encountered any issues.
I put in a bottle of cleaner in my fuel tank every oil change and I think I'm contributing FAR too much to those company's profits. To put it in every tank? But, if it makes you feel good about the way your car runs, why not?

I pulled the head off a '91 Corolla. It had never seen any of these add to a tank cleaners. It's injectors were perfectly fine after 165,000 miles. Your car would run just as well if you added a can of Coke to your body rather than a thing of Redline each fill up. If you are really worried about it, it's cheaper to get it premixed at the gas station (Chevron with Techron).

Its only but, 5 bucks which lasts me 10 tank fills which is about 5 months for a whole bottle since I fill my tank every 2 weeks. I dont do alot of driving around nor racing. Id say 10-11k miles a year. So Im just investing 10 bucks into this company a year. I cant see any cheaper solution than that.

A "solution" would indicate that there was a problem to begin with, which there isn't. If it's for peace of mind or superstition or "what if", then go ahead. Whether you put it in a little at a time or dump it all in all at once, when there is no problem, it doesn't really matter which you choose.

My reply was in responce to the statement...

"If you are really worried about it, it's cheaper to get it premixed at the gas station (Chevron with Techron)."

His sudjestion/soltion to my question is more money than how I am currently using fuel additives. My question pertaining to A or B which he then includes C as an Alternative can still be considered a solition just as well as a sudjestion depending on how one sees it.

"Whether you put it in a little at a time or dump it all in all at once, when there is no problem, it doesn't really matter which you choose."

On the contrary, without providing a limitation then a problem may arise if you put too much in. For all I know you could be sudjesting that I put in a whole bottle each time I fill my gas which is every 2 weeks. Now if this isn't harmfull then your the first I've heard to sudjest this. I have only seen 1 bottle used once a month at most. Now comparing 1 bottle a month vs small ounces according to the 10 gallon mark is a clear diffrence in how much is being poured into the tank. I don't want to wait till there is a problem and then find out that I've been doing it wrong.

I'm sorry. I should have clarified. My mind tends to run in sequence of events.
I should have said:
Whether you put it in a little at a time (like at each gas fill) or all at once (at each oil change) ........................................
