S2000 vs. Crossfire SRT6
Looks are subjective, and a Crossfire SRT is rare, but I'm not sure that makes it desirable. Imo cars like the Crossfire come from a dark time at Chrysler where everything was "value engineered" and it shows in little things, like the SRT's shift lever, for example.
On the other hand, the S2000 was a project of an engineer that had the freedom to build what he wanted and was created during Honda's peek period in the 90s, and it really stands out as a show-off piece.
If you want a coupe and one that is rare, you should try for a Solstice GXP coupe - hard top, you can get a manual transmission, and rare. Yes, it has its own engineering issues, but its a better effort than the SRT if you ask me.

Keep that to yourself, damn values on those cars are starting to rise. I was hoping to land one for 15k by now.
I personally think the Chrysler Crossfire is a horribly disgusting vehicle. Ugly, slow, and extremely ugly. No offense to anyone who likes them.
If you want a small american convertible with a little rarity, go with a Pontiac Solstice or Saturn Sky. Those little guys are adorable.

YMMV -- I feel differently. I like the looks of the car from the A-pillar back, I think it has a late 30's-40's Art Deco theme. Alas, the front end is also retro and they decided to emulate... an early 1980's Cadillac. Ugh! No matter, it's a Chrysler product, thus only suitable for coral reef building.

My friend purchased one right when they came out and we took it to Renntech Mercedes for a remap and I forget the exact numbers but on a bone stock car and just a Renntech flash it made 340 rwhp and 300+ lbs torque @2700 rpm at the wheels . I drove it and it felt ok to me it really felt like the Mercedes that it is but other than that it is nothing special. We looked and looked and trust me there are no Chrysler parts on that car. it ran 12.90@108 bone stock and 158 top speed and 12.50@114 after the flash. The main difference I noticed is when normal driving say you make a turn all you have to do is give it 1/4 throttle and the 300lb tq propel you forward with such little effort and super quiet so you fly below the radar. The problem with the crossfire is if you have a problem say with the transmission it will be a expensive repair . Just to guess 5-7k for the tranny. My 09 E63 AMG had a trans replaced for 9k and thank God it was covered under warranty. My vote is get the s2k.
I guess I'm in the minority, the Crossfire isn't that bad looking.
Plus the engine is pretty solid on paper, 330hp from a factory supercharged v6, sure i'd take one.
I forget his name, but i think it was SpudRacer who had one? Everything i've read said its fairly easy to get close to 400 out of the motor with a new pulley and a tune...nothing to scoff at. Especially when people generally have no clue what it is.
Only thing that turned me off from even considering one is that it only comes in auto.
Final thing is that they're fairly rare to see, let alone a regular crossfire.
