the reason i ask is because i might trade somone trunks. and i would like to know how different are the colors if they are?

 

I think theyre the same color. The only thing your going to have to worry about is weathering. Older cars if sitting in the sun, the clearcoat might seem a little "warmer".

The only other difference is trunk brake light shape. I know they slightly changed the shape in '02 I believe....

 

Paint is generally the same, there might be some color mismatch. Silverstone is silverstone but on any given production day of a car, paint tone might change due to variation. Also, depending on how well the old part has been taken care of or aged it might be off as well.

 

thanks, im hoping its close enough, the guy has an 2005. ive baby, wax, clean and tried to keep my car out of the sun. mines an 00 with 20k miles.

thanks Saint_Spinner and Tugz_S2K. do you guys happen to know if there are any differences with the trunks of a 2005 and 2000. im pretty sure they are exactly the same, i just want that extra guarantee.

 

I think the trunk is the same. Just the brake light shape is slightly different I believe (very subtle)
