Wow, $230 for six months, that's a bargain. As for trading the S2 for a sport bike....Do it. There is nothing you can do in a car that can compare with riding a motorcycle. I got the S2, because I wanted a car that gives me the feeling of my sportbike. Its not that close but, it is closer than any other car out there.

1st-good choice for your first bike, most newbies get a 1000cc to begin their motorcycle adventure.
2nd-at your age and lack of motorcycle experience, it's going to be between $1500-$2000 a year for full coverage.
Good luck. My rate have been raised yet again this year...

Usually state farm will give you cheap bike insurance as an accomodation if u already have car insurance with them. There are also a lot of state farms that won't insure u at all if you don't have car coverage there.

The highest quote i got was $8k year for full coverage on my f4i. I found a state farm office who worked with me and got full coverage for arund $300/yr. He put me down as an experienced rider even though this is my first street bike. I think it had a lot to do with my age and perfect driving record too.

good luck.
