Why I bought an S2000
Please guys, you are letting the troll get the best of you. This is what they want and they do this to get a good laugh. If you keep responding, he'll keep posting. This is a lose lose situation because this is a useless or endless arguement. STOP responding to his post, thanks.
The funny thing about all of this, is that I actually LIKE Miatas! Heck, if there was no S2000, I'd probably be driving one.
I consider myself a car guy, and I can appreciate different vehicles for what they are. Over the years, I have often extolled the virtues of the Miata for being an affordable, FUN car to many naysayers. I have taken the side of the Miata many times over, defending its masculinity, its value, and it's fun-to-drive-ness.
It's a small roadster that handles very well, has a great gearbox, and has a strong following. I'd love to see everyone driving one, instead of their hulking SUV's. What's not to like?
I have a friend who is on his 7th and 8th Miata (yes he has two... and yes, he has had more). He has turbo'ed a couple of them. Another friend of mine is on his second Miata, turbo as well. They're great guys. They love their cars, and they respect mine. I love my car, and I respect theirs. We all ended up with the cars perfect for us.
I have no clue why there's all this animosity. I would never go to a Miata board and try to "set them straight" about their car, because heck... I wish there were more of them. I wish there were more S2000 drivers, more Solstice drivers, more Sky drivers, and more Elise drivers.
I suppose in my years of growing up, I've come to learn that people more often than not make the correct decision for themselves. And while it might not be the choice you would make, what's the harm in them enjoying what they've got?

God this whole thread is ridiculous. It's one thing to make your side of the argument, but posts bashing a great car like the Miata are uncalled for. Half of this discussion is now just fanboys for one car or the other.
The S2000 is a better performance driving machine. That being said, the Miata has its following for very good reason. Calling the Miata a bitch car just shows immaturity and a lack of appreciation for the driving experience.

Then I have lack of driving experieces, it's my honest opinions. I never like the Miata and would rather die than to be seen driving a Miata. You people can defend Miata all you want but why do you all have S2000 instead of a Miata? That's right, because the S2000 looks 100x better. So why trying to be the hero of the day saving the Miata. Looks matter, period.
Why do I own the S2000 instead of the Miata? Performance and space. The NB had less room than my 94 Miata, and far less than the S. Our car also has 60+ more HP than the MSM.
Apperance is subjective. You stating "the S2000 looks 100x better" like it's a proven fact is just absurd.
I still can't get over the fact you think it's a bitch car. Why don't you go get a raised truck so you look REALLY manly

No, we do know, and it sounds like the number of wins is zero.
They had to change the rules so Mazda wouldn't win every year.

I pulled this off another forum but if I'm correct this is the reaosn the rx-8 can't hold the title of the most hp/l
Due to the different nature of both engines you can't directly compare them as a 2.0 vs a 1.3 and make that call. If you were to compare them you'd double the volume of the rotary to get the closest real world comparison you can get.

The RX-8 promises to be a different type of sports car. Not only does it have four seats, it has four doors to make them more accessible. Instead of using the brute force of a large-displacement V6, the RX-8 sticks with its roots and uses a lightweight, 1.3-liter rotary engine. With numerous improvements designed to improve power, efficiency and emissions, the RX-8's Renesis power plant could finally make the rotary seem practical. Generating 238 horsepower, the diminutive engine makes an astounding 183 hp per liter. Add to that a soaring 9,000-rpm redline and it doesn't take a racecar driver to figure out that the RX-8 is a different beast than its archrival from Japan.

You're not making a very good case for the previous claim that you're not a troll.
Are you ever going to add anything of value?
