Then I have lack of driving experieces, it's my honest opinions. I never like the Miata and would rather die than to be seen driving a Miata. You people can defend Miata all you want but why do you all have S2000 instead of a Miata? That's right, because the S2000 looks 100x better. So why trying to be the hero of the day saving the Miata. Looks matter, period.

So this is a forum that only people who like or own S2000 could post? Or is it that only those who praise S2000 could post?
100X better looking huh? No open-top vehicle could look that good, period.
Should I keep going?

The S2000 and Miata NB (99-05) do not look that different. Yes, the S2000 has more aggressive lines and is not as european looking as the Miata, but to the "untrained" eye, they are not significantly different. So given the fact that the majority of people out there don't know their asses from their elbos about cars, for all you know, you may have already been labeled less than masculine driving your testosterone charged VTECing machine you think is so much more manly than the Miata. I bet that puts a little dent in your ego, huh? The fact of the matter is, I had people come up to me all the time when I had my Miata asking me what kind of car it was. I had some think it was a BMW. Some thought it was a Porsche. I had one not-so-car-smart individual think it was a Viper. With the hardtop on, it didn't look like a Miata. It looked more RX-7ish than a Miata. I've had similar experiences with the S2000 and just recently had something think it was a Miata. So, I wouldn't be so confident that you're the studd muffin that you think you are driving your mighty S2000. Get over it and give credit where credit is due. Obviously Mazda has done something right to have sold over a half million of them. I love both cars and it makes me sick when people with no experience with something are as ignorant as you.

You can't tell me these cars don't look similar.
People buy S2000 because they want it more than Miata even though it costs alot (or a bit to some ppl) more..
I was thinking about Miata or S2000 as well..
I'd been in love with Miata since my uncle got one in 97.. (totalled after 1 month) so as my college graduation was approaching I was looking at a fun toy car... Miata were more available in different price range (over 10 years of production) but when I saw my friend's S2000... wow.. it took less than a month to buy one.. It is not fair to compare two because I was looking at 93~96 Miata hopefully under $5k but I just fell in love with S and made that 4X financial committment...
because:
First, I like the driver friendly interior of S imo.. because when I looked at S interior for the first time, it reminded me of Supra (IMO) in a sense that the interior seems shifted to the driver. I've never owned a racing oriented car so it was an awesome scene...
Second, when I test drove the car... VTEC was just so lovely.. yes it takes a bit of patience to 6k for VTEC but that was something I will never forget about S...
Third, I am not sure how it is in newer Miatas but the one I remember was manual convertible (using hand and arm to swing it back to open the top) and S was auto...
my reasons might not make sense to someone else who has braoder knowledge in both cars but simply to me who didn't know (and still doesn't) about neither Miata nor S2000, it was like love at first sight...
people like different cars for different reasons..
