If you're having problems producing the material, and even more problems establishing an infrastructure to distribute the material... well, then you're only one step further along than creating a transportation network that runs on unicorn farts.
There's no hope for unicorn farts as a fuel. If I remember my mythology correctly, unicorns will require too many of the world's dwindling supply of virgins.
