Are you a Corvette guy or a 911 guy?

And you could buy two Scion's for the price of the S2000 or four used Civics. I've never really understood that argument.

wow gary....as mentioned, i can't believe you said that....disappointing.
I apologize to those I offended, though. I am not trying to develop enemies, just provide an alternate and colorful/funny opinion on the topic.
Afterall, this is a car forum and opinions are welcome, even if we all don't agree.
Happy motoring to all (even Corvette guys)

I think what he's more or less saying is he doesnt beleive the 911 is actually worth that much (as far as hes concerned)
Here's my point, M3 + comp package low $50s probably get you 80-90% of what a 911 S will get you.
So if you want to take an argument P-car is half GT and half sports car you could get an Elise + M3 comp package for darn near the price of a tasty 911 S.
So you'll say so what you can't drive 2 cars at once and the 911 will Own3 both of them. But sometimes a sports car is nice and some times a GT car is nice.
BTW I'm just pointing out what you could get for $90K as opposed to 9 Civics which who would want 9 of the same car?
What I'm trying to say, is even take one of the worlds best cars like a F430 at $200K is that really worth twice a GT3? Some will say yes some will say no, I'd love a F430, but I'd also love a GT3 + M5 + S2000 on the side for same money.
I just recently sold my S2000 and 350Z to get a new Corvette C6. It was a very tough decision (especially giving up the S2000 after 3 years). I'm very happy with my C6 - it drives great, handles well, loads of power, etc etc. The plastic interior doesn't bother me at all. I didn't buy the Corvette for its "great" interior. I've never been a big Porche guy, but I'm not going to down the car because I've never driven one.
Here's a pic with my new CCW wheels:

Try this, imagine you walk out of Morton's after enjoying a fantastic steak with a perfect Cabernet and as you hand the valet your car stub he informs you that you could have had three meals at the Sizzler for what you just paid.
I think what Steve is trying to say is who cares? If he wanted the sizzler he could have gone there. For him (Steve in this case) Morton's and all that comes with that experience is worth the price (and what is he going to do with three cheap steaks anyway? One will make him plenty full).
Now the valet may look at what Steve just spent and say "no way am I going to blow a whole evenings tips on one meal". He would say that because his financial situation is probably much different.
Do you get it now?
Put another way, do you think that Jay Leno cares that he could have purchased nine C6 corvettes instead of his one Carrera GT?
