I think that's a load of cack.

It's top of the food chain at Audi and you need to factor in all it's other models.

For example I doubt we will see an RS4 more expensive than an R8 in 2 years time for one of similar age and mileage.

I'd FAR rather drive a LadyBoy Blue S2000 ANYTIME

(The R8 does look good though I gotta admit. And I quite like Audis: what sort of f***-witted category does that mean I fit into then )

Same as me I presume. Interesting read this lot, highly polarised not just by the car itself, but by the impression the marque creates.

Surely badge is irrelevant at this price range anyway? NSX is a prime example. At the time the NSX launched, Honda had very little in terms of performance cars on the go. Even when it died all they had was an aging S2K, a tarted up Civic, and an under-performing F1 team.

But people still paid 70k for the top of the range Honda because it was a good car.

Likewise the R8. It will sell at that price because it's a good car compared with the competition.

There is something 'conceited' about them that I am beginning to hate.

tend to agree,

visiting an audi UK dealer was quite an experience -

I asked a simple question as to why delivery times on something as simple as an A3 were so much longer than other cars.. and reply was, "we are not like other cars"..

LOL, exactly why I walked away from a new TT (fortunately).
Car was okay but the salesman arrogance was sh*te - Silverstreet Taunton.
Even my local BMW dealer is now like every other cheap dealer, open and welcoming which really surprised us.

My two collegues have had to wait over four months for thier company cars, A4 S-Line estates. Shocking, and then they got the spec wrong on one!

And for anyone to think a C4S is the pinnacle of motoring
The C4S sums up the naffer side of Porsche for me.

4WD and a body kit.

The convertible's even worse.

And on the Audi R8 - meh.

And you wondered how long the driving light style would be out before appearing on another car ..

I'm sure I saw them on another non-Audi the other day, can't remember what it was though.
