AUDI R8
The Mk1 TT held it's value amazingly well even with the launch of the new TT. Mass appeal I suppose.
Even the RS4 has solid residuals which I did not expect for an expensive to run 4.2 V8.
I have a feeling the R8's residuals will stay fairly solid until many owners trade in for the V10 version. Not sure what will happen then...

No. I mean the car is conceited.
It is in its blood. From the tools on the design board with their square rimmed Red or Dead glasses to the weps on the marketing team with their loudspeaker phones and c*** bluetooth headsets driving about in the fruit of the companys loin, thinking they are better than the next tool, in the fruit of his companys loin, identical to the next easily manipulated fool.
Its all the way through the german brands these days.
Crikey, I need help.

It's when they stopped being marques and became mere brands, as a response to teh Japanese terror back in the early 'nineties.
And I think it's particularly in the UK you find the conceited owners.
Normally of the 'company hard hat' A3/A4s, 1ers (and whatever) variety.
It's much less manic back in their own country. Which is a good thing, because generally they're very good cars, merely overrated or more usually over-venerated.
They've streched to branding thing to the Pythonesque, desperately selling "uniqueness" to the conformists.
But it's like that scene "in Life of Brian":
"we are all individuals..."
"I'm not..."

It's nowhere near as pretty as a Vantage though...
Aston produce one of the few moderns with anything resembling beauty and it's criticised for repeating the same design language!
You've gotta have pointless change for pointless change's sake.
I think the DB-9 is the only modern benchmark for design aesthetics. It is perfectly of its time. Not sure how well it will age, but if I had the money I'd like to find out. Despite the fact that they seem to hold together like I built it.
I thought the r8 looked fantastically well poised on the track unless tiff was giving it too many beans in the c4s. Remember the c4s they tested list price + the power kit would of started at 78k plus the mandatory minimum 5k extras ontop of that would of made it an 83k car.
The R8s leds look shite like cheap make up. I dont know why we are getting these things on cars, they are tat.
