Default Audi TT's

Now so cheap they are becoming either a chav tool or the choice of young
women who think they can drive fast. Thats my expierience lately anyway.

Only yesterday I was getting hassled by a young female in one, she must
have been jealous because she had a tin top. Then some young cock shot
off in front of me into a bend, christ I had forgotten how the body rolled as
bad as it does. Shame it was too busy as there were plenty of roundabouts
the way he was heading.

A nice if dull to drive car sadly going the way they do into the streets of the
rent payers.

Hopefully the S2000 wont go that way just yet despite being available under
10K now.

Russ.

I've seen loads in the hands of chavs recently too. They're all about style over substance, which is what chavs love best.

I've yet to drive a more uninvolving car.

The latest TT is miles better than the previous model according to my brother who has owned both.

There's something decidedly 'yuppy' about the TT, some of the models slightly more so than others. The S2000 is a more honest car to me. I have the M3 currently, and am in the process of selling it as I always wanted a two seater, and with the new M3 looming, I want to sell now before the prices really start to tumble.

For me, there is absolutely no comparison between the TT and the S2000. The Honda looks better, feels better, drives better and the residuals are better. The only car I would consider would be the Z4 3.0, which is a great car to drive, but I want something that ultimately feels more like a traditional sports car.

There is nothing that quite beats an M3 for all round thrills and comfort / practicality, but the S2000 makes me feel just as good.

It's a common claim Geoff - across brands

But I think it's complete

There are only small incremental gains ime

The S will fall into the hands of the Chavs, all mass production cars get there in the end - though with relatively limited numbers on the road the impact will be less severe than the N reg M3 syndrome(or the TT for that matter).

I dont think its a bad car per say, ideal for those who want to look like they have a few quid and want something middle of the roady sports car ish.....Hell I bought an Audi S3 for a similar reason - stick a cheap private plate on it and it could be an 8k car or a 15k car???

The TT is not a sports car. Its 99% front wheel drive for a start,
its just a quick coupe. Looks nice enough but you dont long to
drive it fast on roads where an S, Elise or the like come 'alive'
because the Audi never does.

At least one day when some young cock brags about his 'new'
TT, I can say " oh yeah I had one of those years ago when
they were 'in' ". That'll piss em off.

depends if we are talking about well-off chavs or poor chavs

the latter won't move into anything but the rice rockets, as you refer to them

only a percentage of well-off chavs will move into the other vehicles - probably no more than the existing ownership percentage

they just prefer fi and styling that is more 'in your face'

btw - there are less than 2000 rhd E39 M5s still on the road from a total production of 2500 rhd iirc

there are LOTS more chavs than M5s

however, chavs and S2000s.............

I think the E39 M5 will go the same way as it's predecessor - scrapped or in the hands of real enthusiasts

but only time will tell

I keep seeing loads of 7 series with big 19" wheels and the other one is Jags - one tonite infact - British Bulldog meet head looking fella, big jag, small c0ck, bet it cost him less than 2 grand, bet in his head he still beleives he's king of the road in a 40k motor......yes he was also double parked blocking the road as he went into the newsagent for some fags -I could go on, but he didnt care.
