BHP/Tonne is a very crude indicator.
A good example would be to compare the NSX with the S2000; the former has a table-top torque curve and feels it. The S2000 needs a lot of work, which makes it far more exciting/terrifying.
They're not far apart on BHP/tonne though!

It wasn't successful, but i still think it looks amazing.
If they sold the elise with the the turbo charged lotus V8 in a car looking like this, i'd sell my soul to the devil to have one as a trackday toy!
