Nope. Just the discs
self fitted.
If you shop around now, OEMs can be about 800ish.
Pads and discs on 4 corners is over 2000, diy.

My M is about £500 for front discs, sub £400 for rears (for both, not each). It's the combination of power and weight of these phat pukkas that is the issue. which is why a GTR is incredibly expensive to run.
ironically that weight also dulls the driving experience to the point i just don't get "it". people cracking one off about what a great drivers car an RS4/M3/RS6/M4 is are deluded, it's a fast barge with a nod to the driver at best.
Funny you should say that - I followed a GTR in the Leg End yesterday and was a bit disturbed by its visually 'fidgety' ride. I've noticed that on several of these uber-barges too.
Cannot help thinking I'd prefer something like an XDrive 335i or whatever they are these days, that doesn't pretend to be anything other than a barge/ueber-rep smoker.

I don't doubt that there would be plenty of quicker cars than an RS6 on a B road (and definitely more enjoyable) but anyone going faster on a (most examples of) B road than a trying RS6 driver is likely to be mad.
The only times I worry about road accidents is on B roads where it's rare not to encounter some back road fecking hero on two wheels or four. They are invariably a danger to other motorists, walkers and horse riders.
I would genuinely enjoy punching one of these morons in the face. Imprevos and Audi TTs seem to be their weapon of choice, togther with assorted chav hatches. I have yet to meet one who seems unable or unwilling to stay on their side of the road on blind bends. Oh for a tractor with spikes.
Anyway, having got that off my chest, I favour the C63 estate atm.

RS6 for a daily - brave.
Nissan Stagea - those are pretty quick and reasonably cheap, almost shed money depending how fussy you are. But once you get bored of boost whilst lugging grandfather clocks, i can't see the attraction.

I think the new M4 is quicker than the M5 round a track to argue the physics.. an RS6 aint light, appreciate these BMs are rwd which is undoubtedly negative when you are talking british a-roads and north of 450bhp.
while i do appreciate the M3, it has a glorious engine, a great hifi, awesome seats etc i think as a driver's car it's pretty limited in its repertoire. The engine is almost supercar stuff, the handling is very capable for a car of this size/weight and it's very easy to induce a bit of smiley oversteer but the entire experience is like being cocooned in cotton wool vs the S2
but then you're not looking for raw
I don't disagree with either of you ( again, weird ) but an AMG C63 estate is also NOT pub money, there is one I see on the way to work, usually hear it first, makes a lovely noise, looks great etc etc.
The S2000 is light and lithe compared to some, equally by a new MX-5 standards, it's a bit portly ..... but then my < £700 motorbike makes both feel like heffalumps.
Probably comes down to what you want, if that's the C63 then why not - you're only here once, why drive something YOU don't like.,

Since I have managed to avoid speeding tickets in two Ferraris, one Maserati, an M5, several M3s and God knows how many other high performance cars, that risk simply doesn't enter my thoughts when choosing a car. I also have a clean licence and electric gates with auto opener. I think I'll be ok.

I don't want a 'driver's car' in this selection process. That's possibly another thread and in any event the term is subjective. My STR has better steering and nicer ride and handling than my old E39 M5 - the supposed paragon of supersaloons. It's also just as fast and probably faster overtaking due to the 'box. But then what do I know? I've only put around 75,000 miles in seven years on both cars.

Or it's just down to the area - there seems to be a lot more 'activity' around these parts.
