Default Boxster S advice

Hi guys.. Time for a car change and building an extension prohibits what i really want which is the step up to 911.. Looking at a colleague's 2005 Boxster S tonight which I will only have to pay trade-in price for.. about £11500 which is a bargain I think!

No flaming please.. I know I'll miss the S!

Quite high miles.. 77k.. But they're motorway miles and it's been well maintained by Jon Mitchell indie down here who are very well respected.. I only do low miles so high miles will even out before I sell it.

It's got some good kit.. Bose, satnav/phone, 19" alloys, sports seats which will be nice.

Anyone know what I should worry about?

Cheers
Simon

me finding out where your colleague lives and beating you to it.....

£11500!!! is that a keyboard error?!?!

Is this a 987 Boxster? I would bite his arm off.

Even if only to drive it for a week and then sell on for a serious profit.

11500?

For a Boxster 987 with BOSE/19inch?

3.2S engine and FSH?

Be careful of the IMS (check the history ) and to a lesser extent the RMS.

Google is your friend.

If you dont take it i will.

Just pm me.

Yup 987.. That's what I thought.. Might even SORN the S and leave it in the garage.

Hairdesser jokes till the summer then sell it when the sun comes out, for a profit!

Or keep it if I like it.

Those wheels are more modern than 2005.

So probably he fit them after.

Is it a CatD?

I'm guessing that's what they are.. They look similar so I will ask.

It's not cat anything! He's part exing against an Aston Martin and they've offered him £11k p-ex, presumably expecting to spend some money on it to get it up to dealer condition and then make 3 grand or so. He can't be arsed to sell it himself so I'll get it for a little bit more for the trouble.. Sounds good to me!

Partly time of year as well!
