Something can't be right.

maybe that one is in A1 condition with a Porsche history and warranty?

versus the op's car which has already been looked after by independents (would put me right off at five years old) and quite possibly needs a couple of grand spent on it

even in mint forecourt condition, a dealer probably wouldn't give more than £13K for the op's car with 77,000 miles

And car dealers are usually full of shit. So 13 becomes 11, which is why Glasses is 'secret' anyway.

Since Porsche is actually the only German Co. with a good/excellent reliability track record of late, I'd not be concerned.

I wonder If they're taking the piss out of him a bit.. He's going to spend up to £60k on a vantage, paying in cash. They would usually make a few quid on finance, so maybe they've just dropped the trade-in to compensate and because he's done no valuation research himself!

I hope they don't keep offering him more!

We were inferring 'money laundering'; if a car dealer gets offered more than ten large in folding, he must report it to the meanies.

So if you've robbed a bank/the tax collector, you have to trade up little but often!
