Nope and neither has the Cayman, no LSD before the 911.
Boxster might be 242 bhp now from the 2.7 but it is a heavy car.
The last one I drove was a Boxster S (996 though) but very heavy for the power. On paper the Boxster S should keep up with the NSX, in real terms it struggles against the S2000.
But now they have upped the game again (with the Boxster S) it might be more interesting.

It seems to be the people that know f**k all about cars that buy Boxsters.
They seem to like leaving there keyrings lying around on their desks and they also like telling people that they drive a Porsche

Thing is, most of these German prestige cars are bought out of received wisdom, by the descendants of those who would've had a Wolseley Hornet instead of a Mini.
Steven's spot on!
Also, the Boxster driving experience is less exciting than the S2000 at possible road speeds in the South East. The car's almost too good.

If your saying that people read the write ups, listen to the comments then go and try a particular car then isnt that the way its supposed to be?
Take the Rs4, I would love to try that based on press reveiws, thats all we have untill we drive it or talk to people who have.
In the South East if you are saying that you cant stretch a cars legs then I would of thought you would not be getting the most out of an s2k.
