Unhappy Bye bye Evo...

Quite a sad day for me, as the best car I have ever owned left me! I wont bang on about how good an Evo is - you really have to be scared in one to realise just how fast these things are. Indescribable at times. I wish I could have taken a few people out in it to dispell the myth that they are boring and univolving. I took a VTEC owner out in it the other day and he was shaken by it - rated it as better than any adventure / roller coaster ride he'd been on! I was giving it full rally action though!

Guy who bought it really didnt know anything about cars, which was a shame as this one was surely the best condition Evo 8 out there and id like an enthusiast to have bough it. "What's AYC?" was the moment I twigged

Id got it to a great spec, but its time to move onto something NA to fulfil my tackday needs

I have something in the pipeline with a Honda badge on it (no its not an NSX!) so will reveal all Thursday hopefully!

All in all im looking forward to Honda ownership again!

Some farewell pics...

Also, mods aside - what were the running costs like on this bad boy? I've always wanted an EVO 6 TME, but always been put off by running costs - just wondered if the newer ones were cheaper to live with?

It has to be a S2000 or your post is in the wrong forum

Russ.

I can't believe you sold it Mark !!!!

I think you've made a big mistake, the EVO's miles better than a Honda

Only kidding mate, good luck with the new motor, can't wait for the unveiling.

LOL Pete, actually he turned up with 4 mates but I could instantly tell they were going to be no bother at all.

Kept to the procedure though, agreed on the phone up front so all was fine - payment method went like a dream

Andy, the running costs aren't bad. The 8 is definately the one to go for IMO. The 4500 servicing is a bit if a myth, although I kept to it. These cost
