Default Civic type R interior light problem

Hay all.
My partners tyre R interior lights come on with the button but not when you open the doors.
Where are the switches?
Cheers all

Yeah but on the S you can enable and disable it using the slider.
The civic just has push in switches.
Is there someone to switch auto on and off?

Any not another secret compartment

Ah - ISWYM: I thought you mean the door buttons & not the light buttons.

There are map reading lights over the mirror & there is a slider on the dome light behind the sunroof. The latter is door controlled.

Well they were - actually you didn't state the chassis code & they might have changed it since the EK9...

Thank you, I got in the car and checked it out and indeed there is a light just behind the driver and passenger seat.
Does not work in the on position but after a few taps it comes on with the switch not fully on ON

In the middle position nothing happens when I open the doors.
I think I need to take it apart and check it out

No problemo - chances are the festoon blub is dying, or the contacts need cleaning on the switch.

Or else you're shorting it across the poles (racist) to make it work and you've a blown fuse. But then the radio doesn't work...

The 'on' has its own supply and the doors switch are a separate supply. If it fades off, via the canbus.

It'll probably work fine if you take it apart & put it together again.
