Confession Time - MK3 MX5?
I like the MX5 in standard guise
can't see the point of the faster versions though
the 'hairdresser' label results from the Pixar cutesey looks and no amount of power can make the car look any more macho than Lightning McQueen

I really like the MX-5 and although it looks like a hatchback it actually has an electric opening hardtop which is brilliant. It has a 2 litre engine, and although it is not as powerful as the S2k it is still a pleasure to drive. I would not buy an MX-5 in preference to an S2k, but to have both is perfect. Although I would sell both for a yellow Ferrari 458 Italia if I could afford one!

IIRC, SuzyBee has a Mk3 (in an interesting colour scheme) - you might want to tap her up for some info.

As for the image comment above, I really couldn't care what anyone else thinks, as long as I'm having a blast

Interesting you would prefer S2000 over the MX5, well no surprise really I guess. But how about if the MX had 100bhp more, would it be closer? I like something different and this certainly appeal when I'm ready to move on from the S2000. Once the base car hits £10k I might take the jump, run it standard for a year or so then supercharge it.
Is the roof metal or plastic?

I'll put some pictures up later.
The S2000 has better handling than the '5 - it's heavier, faster and holds the road better. MX-5 is a bit light. I am hoping Mazda will bring out a '5 with a 205 bhp engine - I'll look out the details - however, the price they are considering is £30k which I think is far too much to pay for an MX-5!!!
The roof is fibreglass.

Maybe I'll stick with the S2000 afterall.
Lets see if I can post the photos now!!!!

Now I do love that!!
Personally would prefer one without the stripe, but other than that it looks stunning
I wonder if sticking a set of Eibach springs on would bring it inline with the S2000 in terms of handling. Would certinly look good
