Folk we know had a newish white Q3, and often carted around their 2 Spaniels to go on longer walks elsewhere. The rear bumper top had considerable claw scratches. I suppose wazzing a blankie in the boot could help and overhang it as your mutts enter/exit. We don't own dogs - Maud ain't a fan of em.
Evo love the car ASAIK, and why wouldn't they - perfect runner for them too with oodles of space for equip. Surprised if they don't have one in their fleet tbh. Who wants to be Daddy cool it's no longer a Zafira GSi / VXR - remember the car ad? (and never was, what a terrible machine that was except for the excellent hidden rear seats. I used to sell them many moons back).
Probably a "remap" that's possible to eliminate the annoying crash bongs altogether - but may affect warranty.

Yeah, I used old throws but same idea. This is added protection. Also bought the Honda boot mat but it's quite poor as designed to cover the seats flat and doesn't fold well, the bit that covers the bumper is also flimsy. So currently 3 late protection

The e took some hammer despite 1 layer (the throw) but this has a much wider lip

The bongs can be switched off apparently but switch back on. Annoying

Anyway back to the more interesting bits, my god it can be chucked about. The grip and steering is incredible. It would boss my old E92 round a right track and be more fun doing it.

Only 200 miles in, been busy

Fitted a new rad to the SC car today but I dont have enough coolant to finish it (thanks honda!)

Anyways, cleaned it. I can confirm red is easier than black

It lights up red inside if you select +R at night
does 22mpg
Very, very grippy - I am stunned with the handling
good low down grunt
Sounds crap
Gearbox is sublime
Infotainment very good, responsive
Boot good
Lots of complexity to the bodywork, curves and creases everywhere

Warming to it

I think it's a looker you know... Lovely in red.
I was slipping past Honda Wigan yesterday morning, and a white FL5 Type R pulled out and followed me in my s2000.
We were both heading to Halfords - me for Edge 5w40 as it's only £31 for 4 litres. However, we stood and chatted outside. He said he's had his FL5 when it first came out a couple of years ago, and is totally in love with it. (Btw he said my car was absolutely beautiful! ). He also mentioned the warning bongs annoyance. Small thing for an epic car, his words.
Being up close to his, I think Honda got this car absolutely right, the last 2 type R models were just a bit overcooked on the outside with mad angles and monumental spoiler. Must get a passenger Jason if I'm ever down in Notts, pretty please

I'm sold on the looks, it's bruty. I really like the interior
Your px ride is reserved

Deals are dropping off, last few cars now. I will be interested to see what is next though I can no longer afford it. Suspect it won't be this light but let's see

Verdict overall once run in

Checked under the boot

Bit worried but found the gunk and compressor in the end

Apparently all new cars have this ****tard speed sign recognition and speeding warning

Driving me nuts

EU legislation GSR2.. more reason to despise the euro twats

Found out how to shut it up

I am pondering a detail and some PPF as modern paint is so soft and parts are swirled already (some when I collected especially the door pillars)

The bonnet is ally and the hatch is some composite material. Less to rust I guess. It still has weak air struts like most modern cars so you need to ensure it's up before head butting it

The FL5 is large. Fills a parking space width wise. I believe it is wider than our CRV

FL5 1890mm wide, 4594mm long
CRV 1866mm wide 4706mm ling

So I was right.. it's a big motor

For ref
EP3 1695mm x 4140mm
S2 1750mm x 4135mm
e 1752mm x 3894mm

Poor handover by your salesman, that looks like something that should be high on the info list.

Agree. He was flapping as his colleague had ****ed something up relating to the deal.

He popped over the following week with a pack of Auto Glym stuff

Not many miles. Every time I don't drive it I have purchased regret. Every time I do it goes away. Got a week or so off now so should get it broken in

Back in the dealer today to pick up my door crank. While waiting... I had another nose :

Spoiler is a proper good brew station
But don't you just love a triple exhaust... The whole car just looks spot on, but yes, a tad big.
Didn't sit in it but those seats look lush. It was model number 20,xxx ...
Johnson's did have an S up for sale here last year, a black 09 for 20k from memory. Low miles too. And by god it would need a warranty!

Yes, big civic, more Mondeo sized than focus I would say. In old school money

The spoiler you can barely see from the rear view but by god it seems to scream "race me" to twats
