Haha.. all part of the breaking in process. Must resist that launch control..
Last week I had an evening of "Rev it, rev it" whilst at the lights a few times. The only thing I'm glad about there is that my S is not being mistaken for an mx5. And of course - I didn't rev it, honest

As a daily only a petrol head will say it's comfy

According to Mrs Nott

In comfort it's a sporty ride. In R+ you will note journos bouncing around in their seat in UK tests

still on my 2nd tank

It feels light and wide. The gearbox shits all over the M3 as does the clutch, the steering, the brakes

The steering and brakes beat my S2 but in fairness that is old / v old

I'm thinking of buying a pressure bleed kit for that as a result

Took it out for a little semi spirited run after a snow foam today

Torque steer is a big feature but it gets down the road well. Feels agile, everything is on point bar the fact it's fwd

The tyres are feeling better and it now feels like it's claimed 0-60 is possible where before that felt a pipe dream

Still running in, 3rd tank shortly. So far 22mpg on this tank, doesn't matter if I press on or not

Keeping revs limited, it's very tractable engine above about 2krpm where the turbo is leaning in

3rd tank of gas.. that mpg won't last

A month in and starting to get to know it a bit and I like it.

It has a very squat stance with the flared rear quarters (custom panels for this car and one of those little details which convinces you of the effort put in)

I've noticed the rear hatch lip is properly painted with a gloss finish unlike the e and CRV.. again a small thing I like

It handles.. properly impressive. In the wet the traction is shit and in the dry there is still a lot of torque steer despite the unique suspension geometry so I'd say I still prefer RWD but overall I really like it. Big upgrade on the E92 and plenty fun to be had.

The weedy horn was pissing me off

The front bumper is all clips and about 5 small screws.

A new honda set imported on Amayama and it sounds so much better

I remember my W reg S2000 had a weedy "peep" horn, almost embarrassed to press it. Never got round to changing it unfortunately. Imagine fitting a train horn haha.
Love it that you're fettling already pal.

Yeah, my V is the same, like somert off Noddy

Anyway, this will be all I do as it's under warranty for a bit

I noticed it has brake cooling ducts built in. Quite impressive.

A huge miss, brake ducts for the S. There's times I think they rushed the car & got too excited. The track boys plumb in lengths of ribbed pipes as you'll know, and fit vented rears. I'm half expecting a bad rear wheel bearing again in the next year due to the heat they take. Always doable to fiddle and fit however

The dogs are making a mess so a boot liner ordered. Their hair sticks to everything in there

Not done a lot of miles at all but I don't do a lot in any car having a few and a bike and mostly working from home

Still struggling with traction at the front, need to check the pressures, they should be well run in now
