You'll love this.

Not quite ditch, but I have scraped mybaby after just over an hour of ownership.

Scraped the number in a failed attempt at reversing into the drive.

Not quite sure what I was doing.

Feck has been said a few times since.

I was actually lurking here waiting for you to say you'd crashed it (but found out it was the other guy), so good show.

I'm always losing my number plate. I just park on the road, now and never really bother with off street carparks for this very reason.

Yup that was my Lovely new Elise 111S that I managed to stuff in a ditch on the way home from buying it its a write off.
Not my first rear wheel drive car, had a Tuscan, a 350Z and still have a Westfield that I built, just lost it going round a bend at 35-40ish and not even driving like an idiot!
How much damage did you to to it to write it off? I'd imagine a new front clam would be 3k plus paint, you'll need a new crash structure, and some steering arms, but looking at it all I'd say that's about 7k worth of damage. Was that enough for them to write it off? I have GAP cover on mine so if it goes, I'll get the full 30k for it.

Not crashed it... but it is scaring me shitless.

If the S2000 engine screams, then the 111R engine barks.

Wet roads today, so not really been pushing my luck in corners.

It's also taking me a little while to adjust to the steering.

So far though, apart from the minor scrape, I'm very happy.

I love the bark from the Elise's engine, both inside and out. So much more "manly" and aggressive than the S2K's.

How have you found the grip in the wet so far? I have to say it was one of the biggest things that struck me about the car. The grip and turn in is immense even when it's pissing down.

I was intending to put a sports exhaust on the 111R. But there is no need. It sounds great as is.

I've not really pushed it in a corner yet. I want to explore the limits of the car safely first. Day 1 on a cold damp road did not really allow for this!

It's safely in the garage now. Fits nicely, taking up less room than the S2000, with plenty of space for getting in and out.
