Default Driving lights

Im in the market for a pair of driving lights, the current lights on my seat ibiza are good but nothing like what they could be. I have upgraded the main beam, and low beam bulbs to more expensive halogen bulbs but they are still not as crisp as i need them.

i am commuting to and from work driving 100 mile round trip on unlit country roads, and since i am leaving at 6 in the morning and getting back late at night, the need for improved visibility is needed for the road.

can any one reccomend anything? im not looking to cut or do any thing to the body of the car, so maybe a grill mounted system ???

any help is good

Adam

Have you tried high wattage rally bulbs for the full beam? They're technically illegal but no one's going to notice on an empty b-road at 6am.

I have 100W bulbs in the S and they work fine out here in the country.

i would like duel usage bulb, ones that will be on with low beam and then really light up at full beam.

i would also like a small unit, mabye about 5cm max diameter. i dont like the look of the 10cm jobs, plus i want it to be hidden away within the front grill.

but the rally bulbs are a good idea but not too sure if i want them in the main beam.... will people really notice a difference if flashed etc, plus i dont want the local plod to have a sudden interest

Adam, do you mean you want wanker lights, so you can have your sidelights on plus these "driving" lights?

The only way in truth is a proper Xenon conversion, utilising dipped-beam projector lenses. Like the S.

It's possible with Civics et al. Older ones need an aftermarket headlight conversion.

Dunno about the Ibiza, but I'm pretty sure I've seen some with projectors.

And no, it's not chav if it makes a genuine improvement!

these are NOT wanker lights .
if i wanted wanker lights i would have got a cheap pair, or blue LED windscreen washer things and some chaved up neons for the car,

these are for a good reason, as i need the extra visibility for driving.

I dont have my low beam on untill the light starts to fade, i never really use my side lights.

yes the lights im after will be on when i use my low beam, BUT i dont do allot of driving apart from commuting.

i like the idea of the xenon but looked in to that and for the conversion kit, they where asking near
