Hope you enjoy the M3
I've enjoyed every mile of the 60K I've done in my M3 Cab over the last 2 years
I'd uprate the brakes & suspension if you're going to track it!

I'm not planning to track it enough for that to be worthwhile. I'll uprate the pads to Pagids, but that's all I'm going to do. The ring is going to be where it gets the most abuse.

I do, but thinking about it, the M3 felt much more like the S than the RS4 I drove. Which is its direct competitor in theory.
The S and M3 are designed for people that like to drive. The RS4 is for people that like to get to their destination quickly. I'm trying to think of other examples, but the ones I can think of I haven't actually driven so I can't really comment. But I'd guess the SLK is in the RS4 camp.

I did also have a shot of the 335i cab and I was hugely disappointed with the level of involvement vs. M3.

I haven't read the replies, as I have been drinking most of the day, but I can add the following useless informations.
I saw a silver one today with CSL wheels and drilled brakes. Very nice, classy vehicle IMO.
Also think it would be a great Ring car, given the high speeds. Driving there in one would be pleasurable, unlike mine.
I also think they are quite stealth. Over a normal 3 series, your normal bloke on the street wouldn't notice it was a monster. And this I like. To us normal people, the bonnet bulge and other bits tell us what it is.
I also like brandy
