I've had two since owning an S2000. The S was a better drivers car and more fun. It felt much lighter and the steering was way quicker. Turn in and interactivity was better but the M was still a great car just different. They are genuinely practical. I used mine with a newborn and the boot was huge and could get a baby seat in the back without too much fuss. The engine is a peach - very smooth and powerful but lacked the top end of the S although still an engine you had to rev. It's more of a GT than the S, which is a sports car.

I’ve just brought an E46 M3 Cabby and im not going to lie.................... i bloody love it
The engine is amazing and the SMG gearbox is great once you get used to it. I read a ton of SMG hate posts over different forums but for every bad review there was a good one.
After the S2000 the manual IMO was very clunky and not as enjoyable to drive
Still got the S as i can bear to part with it as i have had some great time in it over the last 4 and a half years.

Couple of pics of the Cabby

Yes please, I'd have one of those - actually I'd probably be happy with a 330ci

He gets some nice cars.

Spoke with Tim when we went up for the first test drive then we were passed over to the Sales manager Wayne. Both guys were great to deal with and made us feel very welcome. the garage is a petrol heads dream. Astons, McLaren and tons of other top marques.

would definitely go back and get another motor from them

It looks a rare car so i imagine top dollar although maybe as a conv they are not 'so purist' (i dont mean that in a negative way it's a comment on the way values have gone of late)

That 3.2 is a lovely motor

Pretty much bang on mate
Paid (what I thought ) a fair price for it. if it was a coupe with in the same condition it would have been more.
for me personally I prefer drop tops and have done for many years. my brother has the coupe and its a great car but just not for me, I wont be tracking this or modding it in any way I've just had a M itch for years that need scratching.

After the S2000 its just nice to be able to have a car where I can hear people in the passenger seat with the roof down.

I did a track day with a guy with a coupe. Prior to that i was neutral about that 3.2 but it sounds lovely getting angry and goes very well

Never driven a drop top but you have a rare car there. If you keep the mileage down it could cost f all to be in a cracker for years to come
