I was interested by the first page of the Shell ad - I thought it was an S2000 starter button, but no, it was a blasted Alfa

I have to say I think that quantity of advertising is poor show...it really detracts from the appearance and value of the magazine to a buyer. And all from the same supplier...frankly it's a bit of a turn-off...Shell are obviously desparate to buy custom...so I'm going to use Tesco 97 or 99 deliberately now.

Well I know the chavs love to pick up S2000 starter buttons from ebay but I didn't realise the Italians and Germans were treating ebay as a parts bin these days....tim for Honda to come up with some new novel little features for the S2000 replacement
The laguna and megane I had to drive in Ireland a few years ago had push button starters too. Not remotely racey though, just a means of starting the car as there was no key.
The kudos of having a push button starter has long gone, since all the muppet mobiles bought into it.

I saw that Peter Tomalin from the Evo editorial staff had posted on the PH General Gassing board saying that he, and a number of the other editorial staff, weren't too happy about the extent of the advertising in this issue but that he couldn't say more otherwise he'd get carpeted for not toeing the party line.
If you take that at face value (and there's no reason not - he posts on there from time to time when Evo threads crop up, and he seems pretty straight), it sounds like it was imposed on them by the ownership (for which read Dennis Publishing).
