Evora First Drive
I was invited to drive the new Lotus Evora by The Stratton Motor Company of Long Stratton near Norwich. They used to look after my Elan very capably for me in the later years of ownership after I became disillusioned with new dealerships local to me that did not have experience of the Elan and did not own the requisite Tech 1 diagnostic tool.
I asked if I could bring my daughter Sazzy along, mentioning our connections with S2KUK and explaining that the members are interested in Lotus and that some have upgraded from the S2000 to the Elise and Exige. She was offered a drive too. We then asked if it would be alright for AE to accompany us and they very kindly offered him a drive as well.

We should have all piled into Sazzy

Had a great day, thanks to MQ and Saz for allowing me to attend.
Fast, but not exciting enough for me, would like to hear more of the engine and feel more of the road. Would be good to experience it on track.
A bit too many mod cons on the upgraded package with the shat nav and reversing camera, it's fine without it, but I think the ladies liked that feature

I think it is a tad overpriced for the package too.
I wouldn't chop my S in for one, but it is a nice alternative to a Porsche, given the rarity of them. Only 2000 a year or something being made.

Good report; there have been some criticisms of the ergonomics and the leather reflecting in the windscreen. Although in many ways, Lotus' NSX, it's no NSX!
Would've been great if you'd been able to drag a Cayman along as a comparo!

Why's it no NSX, Nick?
RWD, mid engine, V6, lightweight, does cruising quite well, same power, excellent chassis and suspension setup etc etc.
See, there you go mentioning that Cayman again
It's like that thing when younger where you say you detest a member of the opposite sex, where secretly you want to give them a good seeing to
