Button, Coulthard and you have to say Alonso all do well in the wet. But as long as his car doesn't blow up, Kimi has been awesome at places like Spa and shown Schumi a clean pair of heels there a few times in a slower car.

I know Hamilton has good car control, but that's only so far extended to driving during the T/C era of F1. His tail out style murders tyres, in fact even in the wet last year at China he shafted his championship by chewing through a set of rear Bridgestones.

I think this will be Heikki's year to shine. All the expectation is/was on Hamilton, whilst Heikki quietly gets on with the business of driving the car as fast as it can go without causing a fuss. Just like Kimi did there.

Boring race IMO.

Hats off to Massa though. I suppose. Good job under a lot of pressure.

Like you say Gadaffi how he thinks the car has pace I have no idea. He struggled to pass Super Aguri's towards the end of the race.
huh?

Heikki Kovalainen set the fastest lap of the race with a time that was half-a-second better than the best of either Massa or Raikkonen.

Also, it has since transpired that there was an aero failure that caused Hamilton to accelerate into the back of the already woefully slow Renault.

I agree with Horza though, boring race indeed. I always prefer the European races myself.

I am flabbergasted that so many people are writing off Hamilton after one (very) poor race.

It will be like last year - there will be Ferrari circuits, there will be McLaren circuits (people going to Silverstone hoping for a Haamilton home win will be disappointed). What is different is that BMW look to be just about on the pace wherever they race...and they are reliable, with 2 good, under-estimated drivers.

I am also struggling to see where Heikki has out-raced Hamilton as so many people here seem to be claiming. He is a very, very good driver, is a breath of fresh air with his open attitude, has great potential etc. etc. but in the 2 races he has finished ahead of Lewis it has been down to Hamilton having techincal (and brain) problems, rather than HK's out-and-out pace.

He will be top 3 I expect - it will be very damaging if he doesn't

But I back him to lose when it comes to finishing on top

Yep and after only 3 races, it's just wishful thinking on their part

That might be true, he certainly can't afford too many slip ups in the season. then again no-one can.

OK, what makes you think he is going to turn things around?

We could say Ferrari had a blip in the first race

But they have comprehensively out-performed McLaren in subsequent races

McLaren are going to have to find lots of extra pace - while Ferrari stand still

Ain't gonna happen

It's Ferrari's championship to lose already
