The fact is Kimi ran up the arse of another driver because he was being a twat driving too fast for the conditions, the net result was he trashed another drivers chance of a points/podium finish. Anyone else (other than a Ferrari) would have been given exactly the same treatment as the Maclaren got, ie a ten place penalty for that error. But what did the Ferrari driver get as a punishment .... sweet fa as usual.

There is no doubt in my mind that Ferrari get special treatment in the current climate
Kimi wasn't driving too fast for the conditions. Replays show he was braking well before the braking zone. It was the fact he braked early which caused him to crash. It was unfortunate.

Even if Raikonnen/Kub weren't there, Lewis would have gone through on a red light and been given a 10 second penalty which would have effectively ruined his race anyway. Unfortunately for Lewis his next race is knackered now too. He definitely deserved to be punished one way or the other.

yep, and whose race did Kimi trash two grand prix ago, and what was his punishment then ... once again sweet fa.

I had to read this ... it's bloody typical

Montezemolo was quoted as saying:

Another humble comment from Hamilton:

"Going forward, the mood is strong. The fact is we destroyed everyone at the weekend. With the car we have right now there is no stopping us."

No, the fact is you destroyed Kimi's car and your own. But, he's right that there's no stopping them, not even a red light managed that...

Not only that, but Kimi set the fastest lap of the race.

Muppet.

If I recall rightly if hamilton had run throught he red light at the pit lane then exclusion would have been the penalty, so he got off lightly.
If this happened on the road to one of us, "driving without due care and attention" would have been the outcome at least, if not worse.?
To put it down to hamilton's inexperience is laughable, stopping at a red light is one of the first things a novice driver learns, on the road or track.

I love the way even the commentators were trying to say it wasn't actually Hamilton's fault and were saying the crew should have been telling him about the red light.

So, in the next race expect pit radio to Hamilton's car to be along the lines of.....

"there's a bend Lewis, a bend, A BEND, watch out, there's some CARS on the track, my god Lewis, just keep your eyes on your bank balance, we'll make sure you avoid all the nasty obstacles"

Totally agree with the penalty, but that doesn't give Kimi his race back does it.
