[QUOTE=s2k_Nut,Jun 9 2008, 04:45 PM] Selective vision though when not issuing Kimi with a penalty for stupidly ruining Sutils race at the last GP eh?

What I thought was great though, was how Raikkonen didn't get angry about it. It was almost as if it was staged to show how cool he was (for some ITV season review accompanied by sort of rock music), with that wave of the finger and pointing to the traffic light.
He's absolutely right in that getting angry wouldn't have put his car back together, but he's still so much more restrained than any other type of competitive animal. Most people would have lamped the little prick or at least given him a bawling out. But not Kimi. He was probably already thinking about the next race. Or his next snowmobile event.

I was very impressed with Alonso right up to the point he got onto the marbles trying to find a way past Heidfeld. He's since (with some restraint) criticised the team for screwing up his chances of the victory. I genuinely thought he was in with a chance at several points. He really does perform at his best when he's at some sort of a handicap. He won both his championships in the 2nd or 3rd best car on the grid and you have to give him credit for that.
I reckon Kubica's maiden win is the trigger to him stepping up a gear and we'll see more from him. Massa too is really starting to come of age, as is Rosberg. The field is starting to look realy interesting. Next year with all new cars, regs, aero, and tyres I think we're in for a classic season and we're only a 3rd of the way into this one!

It'd be a shame if they drove like accountants, but I suspect if Heidfeld had just let Alonso through he'd have won.
All this goes to show that we need races like Canada and Monaco to shake things up. Just being fast in ideal conditions isn't enough; they need to be there at the end and not screw it up making dumb mistakes.

His biggest problem IMO is he talks to the press too much.
I've heard him say, "I do my talking on the track", if only that was the case, he

I think losing it on a wet and constantly changing circuit under braking, and smashing someone up the arse at a traffic light are two very different things.
There is no doubt in my mind that Ferrari get special treatment in the current climate
and it was the same thing with Honda a few years ago with the fuel load and the illegal body parts! Honda got nailed and ferrari had the chance to remove the said aero parts, back spoiler i think!! Its an absolute discrace that there is not an even playing field.
